The New Orleans Saints have won four in a row for the first time since 2007, and that win streak could come to an end after they lost to the Detroit Lions Sunday in the season opener at MetLife Stadium.
The Saints have now won three of their last four games, and have won 10 of their past 12, with Drew Brees leading the way for the team.
It’s been a roller coaster of a season for the Saints since a 9-7 finish in 2012.
They have lost five straight to end the season and have not won more than seven games in a season since winning nine in a span of three games in 2015.
That was the first such streak since 2008.

Brees led the Saints with 30 points on 10-of-14 shooting and he had 24 of his 31 carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
The other touchdown came on a 4-yard run.

The Lions are 6-3 since Brees took over the quarterback spot in 2013.
They also have a bye, which could make it easier for them to get out of the funk.

They lost the first two games of the season before winning their last three.
They’ve now lost nine straight games and have lost nine of their first 10.

They haven’t won a game since Nov. 12, and they’re 2-9.
Minnesota has won three straight and four of the last five.
